Wear the COLORS
Mardi Gras is Tuesday, Feb 16th 2010; that is tomorrow! Wear the official colors of Mardi Gras - Purple, Green and Gold with any of our Mardi Gras Jewelry. The nice thing about our jewelry is it can be worn all year long to remind you of happy carnival memories.
Each of the three colors has it own symbolic meaning. Purple represents Justice, Green represents Faith and Gold represents Power. These have been the colors for Mardi Gras since 1872 when selected by King of Carnival, Rex. Carnival is a fun filled season before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. Lassiez Bons Temps Roule!
